  • I had an amazing experience with Oliver at The Root Salon. Prior to getting my hair cut and colored, I had long, thick, wavy Native American hair that reached my lower back. I hadn't visited a salon to have my hair done since I was in high school in 2005. Back in October my brother helped me bleach my hair to make it brown and it was patchy and embarrassing. I had a urge to switch it up and try a blonde balayage hairstyle so I sought out a salon in the Phoenix area that had a good reputation. I booked an appointment with Oliver at this salon. At first there was a little issue with the appointment scheduling because I somehow booked a major hair job without a consultation. So when I showed up on a very busy day my consultation was done, he tested how light he could get my hair, and my appointment was rescheduled for four days later. When I showed up Oliver was excited to work on my hair and it came out better than what I asked for. He was very patient and held a great conversation. By the end of my appointment I looked like a whole different person. I get compliments everywhere I go because how much attention to detail he had. I will most definitely return in the near future.
