  • Dental work seems fine. My kid had to be sedated for some cavity work. I feel they charged an exorbitant amount for the sedation, but I don't know what others charge. They were also a little trigger happy with the x-rays giving them every 6 months (insurance only pays once every 12 months) but I've read that every 6 months is sometimes recommended if you kid has had a cavity so I can't really complain about that. One of my real complaints is that what I actually pay never matches what insurance says I should pay. It's not off by a lot, but it's off. The final straw that made me choose a new dentist was when I saw they tried to charge my insurance for "oral hygiene instruction" for my 1.5 year old's check-up. I feel like A) oral hygiene instruction is part of the job and B) what exactly are you going to teach my 1.5 yr old (or maybe they are counting "hey mom, brush kids teeth twice a day"). Of course, insurance didn't pay and the dentist didn't try to make me pay, but this seems a little shady to me and backs up my suspicions that this place is a bit greedy.
