and I don't give full Stars casually!
Husband and I had our first dinner here during Restaurant Week. Everything was just fine. Lovely service by an articulate and well trained young woman. I'm not a cheese curd fan, but ordered them to start with my (I am a fan of) beer. SICK good. Could only eat 3 due to the richness, but no problem finishing them with my faithful dinner buddy!
Cod cakes - drop dead excellent; I clearly tasted the delicious, fresh cod that I remember having all the time growing up. Beet salad - wonderful. The Pasta with Braised Lamb and the Fried Tofu entrees - ditto. Apple crisp and Bread pudding - also beautiful, tho I do prefer my pudding (just a matter of style and mood). Wine pairings were great too.
No, this is not an inexpensive restaurant/pub. Like l'Etoile, I will probably use it as a bit of a special occasion spot... In fact, we're looking forward to returning for our son's b-day dinner this week.
