I had the Chicken Po' Boy and onion rings, and they tasted very mediocre. My chicken seemed bland and on the dry side, and the onion rings like ones you could find at any run of the mill Burger King. These days, I normally will not eat at a place that helps line the pockets of America's Cardiologists and Thoracic Surgeons, but I remembered how incredibly tasty Popeye's was when I lived in Jersey years ago, and I just had to stop on in to relive that craving. My food philosophy is that if I am going to imbibe scads of sodium and trans fats, it better taste really good. I was dissapointed. Back to Boston Market for my chicken fix from now on. Speaking of trans fats, Popeye's should be ashamed of themselves for still having unhealthy and dangerous trans fats in their foods!
