I liked the slightly divey, hipster-ey feel of the Tip Top. Seating, decor--it was all good.
I wasn't particularly wild about the menu or what I ordered, though. Don't get me wrong, it was good, just nothing special. I had the carnitas with eggs and corn tortillas. It was decent. I would have appreciated some salsa or a drizzle of sour cream to go along with it. Maybe some avocado?
All that was available was a small bottle of candied jalapeƱo sauce. Which was decent, but didn't add much to the mix, which was kind of lacking in flavor.
My partner had the granola with yogurt and fruit, and it looked amazing. The granola was very obviously homemade, and it smelled great. It most have also tasted great, because his bowl was clean.
