  • Excellent spot in downtown Vegas located parallel and south of Fremont. I recommend getting there early and would not plan to have a large dinner party on a weekend. We arrived about 9pm on a Friday night and it was a 20-minute wait. We headed over to the small bar area. They have a great variety of beers foreign, domestic, craft, as well as a cocktail list. Cocktails range in the $11-$15 range. Bar area is quite small. Cool looking but not a place to meet up with a group of friends. Good place to meet up with a friend for a drink. If you are looking for more than that you would need a table. Luckily, when it was time for us to be seated we were given a front row seat to all of the entertainment. We were seated at the bar. We went from sitting at the bar to dining at a bar next to the kitchen. At first, I thought it was lame but then got a feel for what was going on. If you are foodie (of course you are because you Yelp) then this is the place to dine. It was like a bonus or getting upgraded concert tickets. It was a different experience to watch all the chefs/cooks/scientists in action. The food was amazing. There are not too many things on the menu and tapas style or sharing is encouraged. Our server recommended 4 dishes is usually good for 2 people, but I pushed it to 5. I like to push boundaries. I appreciated the menu because you can get a little bit of everything at a reasonable price. The plates started at about $8 and slowly crawled their way up. We had the gyro tacos which were an excellent choice. Paired that with some rainbow cauliflower (had a little bit of a spicy kick to it), grilled and flavored with garlic and lemon juice. The beet and goat cheese salad was a good selection as well. I tasted the shrimp and antebellum grits that my wife ordered. The shrimp had a really good flavor and was a little spicy. If you are a huge fan of their food, there is a large swear jar at the bar for you to tip. Just yell out any expletive to share your joy in the excitement of the food. The money is then split between all the cooks and they have a large party to celebrate their success. Overall, great place to do something different in Vegas if you are a visitor like me. I try to stay away from buffets and commercialized spots on the strip. Come out and support this great small business. I forgot to mention the playlist inside was great. Friendly people and excellent customer service.
