| - To be completely honest, I checked this place out in Yelp when I was already sitting in the showroom. Reason being, the experience was going pretty well and I wondered what yelpers had to say.
I was shocked to find a car dealership with nearly 5 stars. People HATE car shopping- so...how?
So for the past 93 days (yes they keep track) I've been working with Rudie off and on to find either a Subaru or a Mazda that fit my specifications and that I could afford. He was fantastic to work with. He was low pressure (I travel for work and asked that for a full month he didn't reach out to me- he didn't) he was knowledgeable and he was willing to communicate most of the numbers with me over email.
During this 93 days, I also went to a Ford dealership and I'll just say the experience was and continues to be extremely frustrating. So I was ready to dump them for good and go back to working with Rudie.
Come to find out, the dealership is waaaaay out in North Huntingdon (Irwin) and to be honest I almost backed out for that reason alone. However, I'm a sucker for good customer service and I had gotten just that all along with Rudie. So I made the trip.
So I get to the dealership yesterday, and just like he said, he had the car I wanted to drive ready right up front. I threw a wrench in things when I wanted to drive another car I didn't know existed, but Rudie didn't mind. A few times, including right before I drove off the lot (after hours, mind you), a manager stopped by to thank me for my business. Super friendly.
Overall the process was easy and not your typical car buying experience. If I'm still in the area at that time, I'll take the trip back out to work with them again.
