| - Is it weird that I keep coming back to Formocha, but haven't had their bubble tea at all?
The unique draw to Formocha is definitely the Taiwanese wheelcakes. Containing no actual wheels, the crispy-shelled rounds are more like palm-sized pancakes, filled with either Oreo, vanilla custard, red bean, or black sesame paste. Sadly, no "bubble-tea flavour" centre is offered at this location, which would be my top pick, but Oreo isn't a bad substitute either.
Not too sweet, not too much dough, but not too much filling either so that all parts are equally enjoyable as the piping hot filling of choice melts out upon your first bite. Cute, individualized packing in little green cardboard foldable boxes if you're getting only one or two, and an even cuter small green box that folds into itself if you decide to go for the better deal of getting five cakes at once. As if I needed another reason to get more of them...!
