  • Tell them you're staying if you want your latte in their cup with a foam design. They didn't ask me and put it in a to-go cup. Such a bummer for me since my whole reason for coming was for a fun latte. It was a 3 star but the menu still has me curious (half the fun) so I give it 4 stars. There are lots of vegetarian options (even a coconut bacon, bacon alternative which is shredded, roasted coconut with ketchup/liquid smoke and other ingredients that give the coconut a more savory flavor over a sweet coconut flavor. They also offer a V ice cream alternative). (4/5) I got a small pistachio latte because of my love for pistachio ice cream. It did not disappoint in terms of flavor. What brought me here, though, were the pictures of the fun drinks with waffles on them. Visual appeal simply makes everything taste better. My latte got defaulted into a to-go cup even though I was never asked for here or to-go. I'd even set up my spot to study and my drink came after 3 others drinks so there was time to simply glance over and see I was staying (not populated at all, regardless of the three previous orders). So if you come and want a foam design, verbalize that it's for here. (2/5) I also got the kale chocolate chip cookie- the green cookie. I'm all about the healthy way of life but this did not make me want to stay on track. Yes, you could taste the kale. The cookie was fluffy (I'm thinking lots of flour), and had I not had my coffee I wouldn't have finished it. It wasn't sweet like a cookie, but it did remind me of a scone without the shape. I probably would have liked it if I was thinking I was getting into a scone, actually. Subbing out for larger chocolate chips would have also added to the texture in a positive way. I asked a lot of questions, some were answered with "I don't know" with no intention on finding the answer (such as when I inquired about the different types of cookies) and others were answered by the guy making the drinks. I sort of felt like an inconvenience and like I should just go and sit back down because they wouldn't elaborate much without me 'pressing.' But the cashier could be new. I don't know. I loved the menu. It looks really interesting and I love places that have originality. The restaurant didn't have a warm, cozy feel but it was nice, nonetheless. Fun, far chalk wall mural. Actually, chalk was the main art theme. I liked it. The music was reggae. I dig. Perhaps a little loud. Startling at times. Definitely give this place a try, though.
