I find dealing with anything and everything related to vehicles frustrating and annoying. I don't like the buying experience. I don't like having to deal with maintenance. It seems to me that the people across from me in these transactions are always trying to get one over on me.
Well, not so with Discount Tire. I'm a repeat customer.
The experience here was easy. All of the staff were in complete uniform. They were friendly. And, they did not have a "superior" attitude.
I was quoted about a 1.5 hour wait time for the job (4 new tires) before a 15 minute job. My vehicle went in after about 1 hour. And 20 minutes later it was done.
While I was there, a female customer came in and it was clear she wasn't happy about something. An employee met with her quickly. He came around the counter so they stood side by side. He wasn't defensive. It was obvious that not only did he listen, but he heard what she was saying. I couldn't overhear. But, within just a few minutes it was evident that whatever the issue had been, it was resolved and she seemed satisfied. Impressive!
The shop is clean - the chairs in the waiting room could use a refresh. But, it's an auto shop so what can you really expect? There was complimentary bottled water and coffee.
When things were quiet, the employees visited briefly with each other. It was clear they got along well with each other. The talk was about work. And, every one of them was making comments about how good a company Discount Tire was to work for. Nice!
