  • Amano is great. I have eaten there many times due to the lack of options close to Laveen. You definitely have to try the rajas. I also love the rolls with oil and balsamic that are on the house. Every once in a while they give a chef's treat which really is a pleasant surprise. I have loved the pizza's that I have eaten as well as the Prosciutto Linguine with cherry tomatoes. They have some decent art and a very regular staff since it s family owned and operated. They have their steady menu and then some blackboard listings which typically have a great new choice. They have an amazing wine list. My sister always wants to go to Amano when she comes to town even though there are many choices in the valley. My wife always has to have their Tiramisu even though she normally doesn't like the traditional style. Some things are pricey as expected for that product, but you can always get a cheap pizza which tastes amazing. I like that it isn't typically busy, but I definitely want them to stay around so I don't have Wienerschnitzel or Taco Bell as my only choices. June 26 Update- Food was great as ever had the Calabrese Pizza though they have many great specials like Calamari that almost drew me away. My wife had the Manicotti which was amazing, like an Italian enchilada. Very few people, don't know if it was the Summer or an early dinner 6PM. Some people are definitely missing out.
