Whereas soooo many stores and bistros and restaurants have changed or disappeared on Laurier and in the area, it was a very welcome surprise that this large, multi-level (3 stories) bookstore is still here. Although I hate to call it a bookstore, as it sells so much more:
The main level has toys, kitchen stuff, journals and stationery and cards, school notepads and office/workspace stuff, calendars, gourmet teas and chocolates and reading/book accessories. There were some small glass plates here that I regret not getting as gifts; at $6 each, they easily liked like they cost four times at amount. And there were some funky glass cheese platters as well that I regret not buying. Dang, I'm going to have to go back.....
The upper two levels are comprised of French books for sale.
This is a great store. Prepare to spend time here browsing.
