  • Their method is to use a shock collar. My dog is a rescue and is still building his confidence. After the 20 minute demonstration he was a bit traumatized. He was not present and hid in his box for the rest of the evening. Maureen said the collar is to get his attention, but he wants to please me and gives me his full attention already. I believe what is needed is positive reinforcement and some good tactics. She wanted to show me her dogs and demonstrate how obedient they were. They were extremely obedient, but seamed to me to be cowering. I believe you will definitely get results fast, but at what cost? She recommended a 2 week training and boarding program for $3,000, and got very defensive when I questioned the price. I believe this method should only be used for extreme cases and there are much better methods.
