I have worked out here for 6 years. Here are some of the things I have experienced:
-Triathlon program is on point. From masters swim classes to the morning run club to the studio cycle and outdoor cycling groups. I used these services to prepare for and complete 3 full Ironman competitions.
- Group fitness classes are inclusive and supportive. I did several group programs. There were a wide variety of people taking them with different levels of fitness. No one was left out, everyone supported each other, and it was a lot of fun.
- Personal training has been very expensive, sometimes overpriced sometimes perfect. I have had 5 trainers here. Three were not very competent, I did not continue long with them and they did not keep their jobs.
2 of the trainers I had were amazing and helped me reach some pretty lofty fitness goals. I continue to recommend Kayla and Geoff regularly because they are worth the investment.
- Treadmills/cardio equipment is plentiful and you will never have to wait.
- Lifting area (free weights and Olympic platforms) not enough space or equipment. If you come at a bad time you will be stuck waiting.
- Pools indoor and outdoor are family friendly and very clean.
- Men's showers need better ventilation, they smell terrible in the morning when crowded.
- Sales team is always walking around with new clients. They use a standard sales system. Before I joined, I didn't do the tour, I just got a visitor pass and checked the place out. So I don't really have an impression of the sales team.
I do know this is a business. They have to make sales.
-Locker room is ok. Needs new lockers.
-Cafe service is great and the food is healthy and fresh
I saved the childcare for last. I have children w special needs. It is not easy to find a place where I feel safe to leave them in someone else's care for fear of bullying and embarrassment.
The childcare at lifetime fitness is very special. The staff goes above and beyond to provide a supervised safe space. I am thankful that they do such a great job.
I will continue to go here till it closes or I die. Even if I have to wait for the free weights.
