  • I LOVE fall. Love, love love it. The clothes, the weather and everything is just perfect when that time rolls around. My favorite month: November My favorite season: Fall My favorite holiday: Thanksgiving My favorite food: Turkey and gravy My favorite smell: Cinnamon The best (olfactory and gustatory related) thing about Fall is: PUMPKIN everything! Yes, pumpkin flavored everything adds that "specialness" to regular flavored foods. What does Krispy Kreme have? PUMPKIN old fashioned doughnuts. Now, I'm not a fan of old fashioned doughnuts, but the pumpkin flavored one at Krispy Kreme is pretty good. What could make this better? Cream cheese icing. What would be even better than that? Pumpkin doughnut filled with cream cheese, one filled with more pumpkin filling and one filled with maple. Yes, those would be over the top killer. I had my first "fresh & hot" Krispy Kreme doughnut today and wow, they are so much better hot! My beef with this place is that it's kind of messy/beat up looking inside (my 5 year old sister actually made it a point to mention that) AND that they don't have regular doughnuts such as maple bars (YUM) or bear claws...or strawberry doughnuts. My family (read: my dad) is totally addicted to Krispy Kreme so I'll still protest that he buys them by the dozen "for the family" but I'll secretly enjoy sneaking a half of the marshmallow filled doughnuts and, during Fall, the pumpkin doughnuts!
