  • The first time I tried Rahier, we had guests over and they brought us one of the large plum tarts from there. The moment i saw the tart in the box, i was drooling!! The plums so artfully & neatly arranged on custard. They come with either shortbread crust or a light airy puff pastry crust with different creams & custards. My hubby is not big of any fruit on cake or tarts and even he was impressed. It's a bit of a trek from Markham, but we went because i had to see what other heavenly pastries we could try! Some of our fav's that we really enjoyed: Mini plum tart Mini apricot tart Mini fig tart - my fav! Croissants - huge hit with our kids! Voltaire raspberry tart Quiches - another huge hit with my fam Great place for a light breakfast or lunch. It was busy while we were there, but we were waited on in a timely manner, with no rushing from staff. I love that pocket of Bayview Avenue, there are so many great restaurants etc. Heading back in a few weeks, i'll be back with pictures!
