Allow me to start out by expressing just how much I love this place. I happened to discover this quaint little bakery on a sunny Sunday after church. And I've returned several times with friends and sometimes even alone! Every cake I've tried thus far has been moist, not too sweet with just the right amount of icing! What makes the cakes even better is that they're vegan so they're constructed with all natural ingredients. For example, they use olive oil instead of butter. The fruit and flowers on the cakes are always fresh. The dining atmosphere is an absolute delight filled with old-fashioned charm. There is just one thing that bothers me about this place. Whenever slicing your cake and transferring it to the plate, the baristas use their ungloved hands to pick up and balance the cake slices. Today, I watched one of the baristas pick up a brownie and just hand it to a customer then mess with her hair bun. This screams unsanitary to me. Other than this, the place is amazing. I just hope one day they'll actually use gloves or serving utensils.
