  • Ambiance: A bright and clean restaurant that's almost a little too spacious. The tables pretty much line the walls and leave large walkways which makes the place seem a little desolate. This was compounded by the fact that the place was empty aside from one other table when my wife and I went. Nonetheless the staff were very friendly and helped make some recommendations for us. Food came out within 10 minutes, again likely since we were the only order for the kitchen. Food: No idea why this place was empty because the food was awesome. The injera is made with real teff (an issue at cheaper places) and had the appropriate amount of tang to be noticeable but not overpowering. We got the combo platter with YeSega Tibs (Beef), Tana Tibs (Lamb), Doro Wot (Chicken, Hot), Michchet Abish (Ground beef, Hot), and Ye Abesha Gomen (collards). All the meats were moist, tender, and PACKED with flavor. For someone who puts sriracha instead of ketchup on his hotdog, the "hot" was mild with the exception of the Minchet Abish which had a moderate heat like that of a serrano pepper. The doro wat comes out with like 2 drum sticks per person and boiled eggs which frequently gets omitted. We were worried we would have to order extra injera as it is not unlimited like other Ethiopian places we've been but it actually ended being the perfect amount once we finish eating the injera the food comes out on. Overall Tana is an excellent Ethiopian restaurant that serves authentic flavors with authentic ingredients. Food came out fast which is almost unheard of for this genre of food and the prices are reasonable for what you get. I'd highly recommend giving this place a try.
