I had similar experiences to other reviews. The solar saves at best about $25 a month.
However this is not my biggest issue with the company or solar in general. If I could get out of this contract I would.
Be very careful when you get solar, if you lease it, you cannot take the tax credit, the company who provides the solar gets the tax credit. Seems a little unfair since in 20 years I will have paid 55k. Realizing this includes the electricity, there should be a breakdown that allows the homeowner to get credit for what they are paying for with respect to the equipment.
The sales person never told us we would not get the credit. He offered no upfront information and we unfortunately missed this at the back of our long contract, 24 pages long. I feel like the salesperson and company lack integrity and mislead the consumer as they are the experts.
I would be curious if others have experienced the same with the lease. For us, this is about $17k credit they get, not us. I am interested in seeking legal advice on class action suit for lack of integrity.
