  • I was pretty stoked to have a new coffee place open up here in Charlotte. Particularly in the end of days wasteland that is uptown. Businesses like Queen City Grounds make Charlotte feel more like a "real" city. They're also roasting their own coffee and so you occasionally get the awesome smell of freshly roasted coffee wafting out onto the street as you walk up. Staff has been really friendly, plenty of comfortable seating. I haven't tried any of the food yet (I believe someone involved with Fud over in NoDa is here) but it looks good. If you're like me and never leave your neighborhood, QCG is a good reason to come uptown.
