  • I wish there was a zero star option. I should have known that this company had no idea how to handle customer service when, after spending 2 hours figuring out if I was going to get my "yes" money because I didn't have "proper identification" (warning: don't try to use your FEDERALLY ISSUED PASSPORT as proof of identification because they won't accept it as VALID ID), the employee turned to me and said, "Please rate me 5 stars when Conn's emails you for a review, I won't get my commission if you don't". Awkward. So, after the drama I had to endure to secure the furniture (Washer, Dryer, Refrigerator, Range and Couch) everything was peachy for a year (minus the ridiculous price I have to pay every month). Then comes the end of my one year warranty and guess what happened!? My refrigerator fan broke and my washer started leaking. I called Conn's service department on September 27th (three days before the end of my warranty) to schedule a technician to fix my refrigerator. The technician never made an appointment and called while I was on a business trip to tell me he would arrive that night at 5pm. When I asked to reschedule he gave me is personal phone number. He never returned my calls. By this time the warranty had expired. Now Conn's expects me to pay for any repairs on the machines. It is now November 17th and I still do not have a working refrigerator. In fact, the service technician was scheduled to FINALLY repair the refrigerator today between 3-5pm. It is currently 5:30pm and the technician has still not arrived. I left work two hours early to accommodate their schedule and they don't even show up on time. This is now a loss of wages, a loss of product (over $300 in groceries that went bad) and a loss of time. I called the service department and the woman told me he will not be at my house until 6:30pm. I have now spent an unforgivable amount of time on hold with the service department (at least 15 minutes each time I call) and sitting around my house waiting for this technician. DO NOT SHOP AT CONN'S, pardon the pun, but they're con-men. I refused to pay my bill until this issue was resolved and their collections department literally called my phone 15 times a day, yet their service department can't return a phone call. They expect timely payments yet they can't repair their products in a timely manner. I have never been so irate with a company in my life.
