| - I am giving a 3-star review, as this was the first time we flew Allegiant, and the flight from Phoenix to Medford was an excellent experience. The flight was on-time with no delays, and flawless from check- in to security to boarding and take-off.
The flight back to Phoenix from Medford was again flawless up until the time we boarded the plane. We were given an announcement by the pilot that the flight would be delayed about 20 minutes as a wing light was cracked and needed to be fixed before we could take off. About 45 minutes later, a mechanic showed up with a ladder and some duct tape and fixed the light. Our flight finally took off an hour after we were scheduled to take off.
Every staff person we dealt with was pleasant and professional.
Please, if you are planning on booking a flight with Allegiant, READ THE CARRY-ON and CHECKED LUGGAGE RESTRICTION SIZE/WEIGHT GUIDELINES!! They are very specific with their guidelines on their website, and my husband and I had no problems, since we followed these exactly. We encountered NUMEROUS travellers who had no idea that their check-in luggage could not weigh more than 40 lbs and others who were trying to take a carry-on bag that was way over the measurement limits specified on the website. Allegiant staff DO adhere to these guidelines, so please read them, and plan on following them.
I would say to anyone reading these reviews that if you are going to fly Allegiant, be sure that you don't have a connecting flight that you need to catch or that you are on a tight time schedule. It would appear to me from reading these reviews, and from our personal experience, that most likely at least one leg of your flight is going to have a delay of some sort if you fly this airline.
