Lots of hype here. If your wondering why what appears to be a normal mall is called a Fashion Show mall apparently somewhere there is a runway and models once in a while. I've never seen it... I don't even know this to be true - but that's what I heard.
There are upscale stores. I remember walking into Diesel looking for a nice leather belt. Its the kind of thing that I wouldn't mind spending $200 on because I know it would last 10 years if it were real Italian leather. From what i remember I picked one up and I was unsure about where it was made and where the leather came from. I know so often you pick somthing up it says in really small letters "designed in" and then in huge letters "ITALY." Then on some tiny tag elsewhere it says made in Mexico. I got a bad vibe here and wasn't exactly convinced what was in this store was any better than what was at the outlet malls.
Went into Louis Vuitton and looked at a couple $500 wallets. I didn't like any because the one that had a pouch for a couple coins and one house key seemed overly fat. I thought that the wallet was beautiful but that it would give me a bad back sitting on that monster every day.
The food court is a comfortable place with lots of windows. Nice place to hang and nobody will try to pressure sell you on anything.
The stores here from what I gather you can find anywhere. Maybe this makes sense if you are a tourist and you don't have these places in your hometown or maybe your currency is worth more than the US dollar and it becomes a good buy. Now with ebay shipping around the world so much shopping in a brick store has become obsolete.
