  • TERRIBLE! Came here for dinner on a Sunday with the family. After having read the mixed reviews here on Yelp I was cautiously optimistic. When we pulled into the parking lot and were able to literally park in front of the front door it should have been a sign. The second sign was when we opened the door and were greeted by a chalkboard message that said, "Please Seat Yourself". Clearly this place is not very busy in the dining room or they would've had a hostess on duty. We had our choice of probably at least 50 tables as only one was currently occupied by another family. After sitting down someone brought over menus and we began to make our selections. We ordered the nachos and peel and eat shrimp for apps. For entrees we had fish and chips, steak pasta, veggie tacos, and a burger. The appetizers were served and within 3 minutes so were the entrees. I absolutely hate it when servers can't time the entrĂ©es to come out after most of the appetizers have been consumed. Anyway, onto the food. The nachos were actually fairly decent despite looking like they were just thrown together. My only complaint is that under the top layer of nice chips was nothing but crumbled up, crap you get at the bottom of the bag. The peel and eat shrimp were a severe disappointment. If you're going to serve these there are a couple of rules you have to follow. The first is, always slit the back and clean out the shrimp prior to serving. The second is, don't use shrimp that are smaller than 21 - 25 count. These things were tiny! Now for the entrees. The fish and chips were decent, well cooked. The burger got my son's approval too. The steak pasta dish was so inedible that my son barely ate 4 bites before pushing it aside. The veggie tacos weren't much better and after taking 2 bites my wife declared them awful. Our server stopped by and asked, "Would you care for some boxes?" I laughed and said, "Nope, please just clear the plates." I paid the bill and we left the restaurant vowing to never return again. Bottom line is, you might be okay to have a drink here, but that's about it. We will never be back!
