D.O.C.G is located in the Cosmopolitan Las Vegas.
**It's owned by Scott Conant the popular Judge from the TV Show Chopped**
Once we found out it was owned by Scott we are like now its our turn to be the Chopped Judges. Will these dishes cut it? Or will they be Chopped! (Teds Voice)

When we arrived we were greet by the hostess which was very lovely. The decor of this joint was upscale modern but a little dark.
We started with D.O.C.G." CHOPPED SALAD, soppressata, provolone &
red wine vinaigrette. It was okay nothing special for a signature salad. I expected more. Something that wowed my palette. It was lacking in flavor.

We ordered a few appetizers we started with the GRILLED OCTOPUS with bay scallops & cannellini beans but the dish was salty. I mean it tasted like my grandparents cooking, always going too heavy on the salt. We didn't care for the dish.
Next we tried the ROASTED BONE MARROW blistered grapes & garlic breadcrumbs. This was dish was good. I mean you really can't mess up bone marrow unless you add too much salt!

For our entrees I order the LASAGNA oxtail & fontina which was a huge disappointment. I spent $30 bucks for that. Terrible, I have eaten plenty of different types of lasagna and that one probably was the worst thing I ever put in my mouth. If you can't make lasagna correctly then just close your doors. I judge Italian restaurants based on there Lasagna and if it's shit and most likely so is everything else too.
My wife ordered the BRAISED LAMB SHANK but again heavy handed on the salt. It would have been good if the chef actually tasted the food before he served it up. Too salty and very overpowering. Not impressed and actually a little pissed i just spent $40 bucks for that. I JUST GOT OWNED!

Based on the dishes we tried so far the chef would have all been chopped after the entree. Now are we brave enough to try the Dessert dishes? I was about to call it a night and bone out but my wife wanted to take a gamble (since we are in Vegas we will roll the dice).
My wife orders the MASCARPONE CHEESECAKE raspberries, hibiscus & lime meringue. It comes out and looks good but that doesn't mean shit. All my other dishes looked good but didn't taste good. I was praying like please please please have this cheesecake be normal. The first bite was heaven. I was thinking Thank God finally something that tastes good. I would say that everything wasn't good except that cheesecake.

When the dessert is the best part of your $200 dinner that's pretty sad. This place is the type of place you try once and never go back. If I were Scott i wouldn't want my name connected with this restaurant.
SO DISAPPOINTED MAN! I EXPECTED THIS SHIT TO BE 5 STARS. I AM SORRY BUT YOU HAVE BEEN CHOPPED!
Overall The Service was good and The Food.....I've had better. It looks like i'm not the only one that thinks this place was a bust. Read the other reviews.
Thanks for reading.
