  • Quite the scene, be prepared to wait for a table or for takeout. The takeout line today around 1 pm was at least 30 minutes. The odd thing was, the line wasn't slow due to the food prep -- it was the cashiers who were amazingly slow, resulting in a winding, snail crawl of a line. My husband prefers Katz's on the Lower East Side in NY, while I preferred the slightly leaner meat at Schwartz's. Am glad we waited in line for takeout, but not sure I'd do it again.
