| - I'm impressed when I go into a store and you find friendly, knowledgeable people who are easy-going, treat you well as a customer and as a human being. I'm equally impressed by those who start out being rude, pushy, don't take a second to find out what you're looking for -- and won't take the hint that you're a serious buyer there to do some business. Things went downhill from the moment I told the individual that I lived in California: The "sales"-man started off by making rude comments, displaying a generally-crappy attitude, and began telling me blah-blah-blah-blah-blah, mainly about what he wouldn't do for me.
I was in the market for some high-end scopes and optics, laser gear and NVGs. I couldn't get a word in edgewise. Let me tell you what I'm in the market for before you start telling me what you won't show me.
This individual -- who looked remarkably like the cat that ate a sour mouse -- was soon backed up by someone else who came over and began chiming in: I don't think I'd spoken 20 words the whole time and hadn't even had the chance to tell them what I was there for, repeatedly interrupted.
I did go to the store ready to purchase a quality scopes for a custom-built 6.5mm rifle that's being completed for me, and two LWRC rifles, a REPR and an AR-15 in 6.8mm Rem SPC
I was thinking of equipping the custom-rifle and REPR each with a Vortex Razor HD Gen II 4.5-27x56mm FFP scope or better, the AR-15 with a Vortex Viper PST 2.5-10x32mm FFP scope (or better). That said, I was open to suggestion, more interested in overall quality and function than price: I'd done my homework about what I wanted and came prepared to buy. I was certainly open to suggestion about what that was and I was interested in the salesman's input IF I could ever get him, then THEM, to shut up for a minute so that I could outline what it was that I was looking for.
I had adequate funds with me for up to three top-end scopes AND a thermal or NVG scope for the AR-15, looking for quality gear that I could depend upon. I was also interested in other optics, something along the line of night vision gear.
The sales staff continued to act rudely and succeeded in driving me out of the store. I don't understand what they were trying to do; I don't think they had any idea what they were doing, either.
I did come back to the store later in the day, about an hour from closing, but the person who approached me lost interest in me when I told him that I wanted to purchase several scopes. I guess the customer they usually deal with is generally ignorant about firearms, wants something flashy but cheap, or is there to shoot a lot of ammunition in the range here.
I never did have a chance to inquire about the Nevada CCW classes.
How these people ever rate four stars overall is beyond me.
Update 01/07/16:
In response to the note I received following my review, I don't know what value going into specifics would have at this point about the salesman.
The feedback I'm willing to provide is after I left your facility (The Gun Store) late that day and ordered the following at a different store the next morning, having delayed my return to California.

US Optics LR-17 3.2-17x44 FFP with Horus H59 reticle
ELCAN Spectre DR 1.5-6
ATN Odin-32DW 2X (60 Hz) weapon sight kit
....and two magazines for my Nighthawk T3.
Would you like me to post photos of the scopes once I receive them and a copy of the sales receipt on Yelp for confirmation that I actually purchased them?
The nice thing is that the salesman at the store I did buy the scopes from (1) treated me with courtesy, and quickly determined that I'm an intelligent gentleman and treated me as one; (2) he listened to me as I expressed my ideas, and we DID go with 2 of the scopes I wanted -- but significantly upgraded my other 2 choices based on HIS knowledge; (3) he didn't treat me as if I was something that crawled out from under a rock in California; and (4) he listened at length as I gave him the list of scopes I'd researched and discussed with me the specifics of each rifle and my endeavors.
This is what the public should know about your store.
