  • I was referred to Dr. Mark Degen by my dentist, who suggested that something I was concerned about be looked at by an oral surgeon. I loved the look of the office, which is decorated a la New Orleans, complete with wrought-iron gate instead of a door leading to the treatment rooms. And there's wifi, which too many medical offices still don't offer. I interacted with a number of staff members, and was really impressed with how uber friendly every single one of them was. The most important part of my three visits was Dr. Degen, who is very personable and very competent. I had a biopsy taken, and chose to have only topical anesthetic. This required several injections, but they weren't unbearably painful, even though I have a low tolerance for pain; Dr. Degen administered the injections with a light touch. Lucky for me, everything was fine and don't need to return, but I highly recommend Dr. Degen and his staff.
