| - Before I walked in, I was expecting clothes to be more of the upscale consignment type. For all the talk about how discriminating their tastes are when it comes to purchasing items, I was floored at how crappy the clothes were at BE. Who on earth would buy a used Forever 21 shirt for $9 when you can buy it new, for the same price, if not lower.
Most of their items seem very dated, unless you wear an XS, and even then, it all seems like junk. The purses were overpriced and not well maintained. I think, but can not prove, that one of the Coach purses was a fake. All the designer stuff is behind the counter, so you have to ask for the price for each item. I saw some cute wallets... until I realized the clasp was gnawed by a small dog. No thanks. I could go to Ross or Marshall's and get the same brands, NEW, at about the same cost.
I was severely underwhelmed today, on my first visit. I went with Jen S. and she walked away with a Dolce and Gabbana shit for $24 (the only shirt I gave my blessing to) and a Forever 21 tank top for $6.
The only good thing about this place is that they sell furs, but they have a tiny selection, and unfortunately, the one coat I liked, the arms were about 3-4 inches too short.
