I have lived near and enjoyed the area now known as the CVNP my whole 64 years. There is so much to see here and not just Brandywine Falls. We have in fact, three falls within a few miles of each other. If you want to experience some pristine hiking, hear the birds, get off the beaten paths, go to the CVNP. Hiking along the towpath you may walk along corn fields or through woods or a Beaver Marsh where wildlife abounds. Or you may hike the Ledges or around Kendall Lake. So much more! While not every parking lot has restrooms or maybe more primitive ones, there are nice restrooms with flushable toilets at many/most areas such as the Ledges and Kendall Lake, among others. Experience those places and the buildings in that area built as part of the Work Progress Administration of the 1930s after the Great Depression. Of course there is the Ohio Erie Canal and its rich history. So much to do and see! I'm sorry for those who can't see the timeless, gracious, and pristine beauty that is in the Cuyahoga Valley. There are maps everywhere and you can find trails and other information on the internet. I can't understand how anyone can't find something beautiful or interesting in the CVNP. Perhaps people are seeking that one defining attraction you find at other national parks (e.g. The Grand Canyon). But the CVNP has much diversity to it. It is not defined by that one attraction you are looking for. To those who question why this is a national park, let me put this forward to you: Our beautiful country is comprised of much diverse geography and history. Our beautiful Cuyahoga Valley and its rich history is but one of those diverse areas. It is here for your enjoyment and education about our area. I hope you enjoy it.
