rev:text	I love these old theater houses-turned-venues which Montreal still has, La Tulipe being one of them. I can't speak to La Tulipe as a club since I've only been here for shows, I've seen Bluelight Burlesque productions here and recently came to see Daniel Ash and Kevin Haskins of Bauhaus/Tones on Tail/Love & Rockets fame and it was just the perfect place to see them for what turned out to be an amazing show full of nostalgia and tunes I thought I would never hear live again. There's an area near the stage where those who want to take in the show in general admission form can go and stand (be careful because slam-dancing always inevitably breaks out) and tables further back where you can sit, sip your drinks and take in the show leisurely. Drinks are reasonably priced and the crowd is pretty chill. I'll have to come here some Saturday night so I can check out 80s night.
