  • Updated 07/20/2016 While at the service center the Friday before, I requested that my A/C system and freon be checked. I was told that isn't part of what the service center does, and I was sent across the driveway to what was referred to as major service. I was told I couldn't get the work done that day and neither could I leave the car to have the A/C system checked. I was specifically told by Doug Grant, the service advisor, that the only way to guarantee it gets done is to set an appointment, so I set it for Wednesday (07/20/16) at 3:00pm. Yet when I arrived Mr. Grant told me that I would have to leave it and that it wouldn't even be looked at until the next day. I reminded him that I had an appointment. He stated that when he made the appointment he didn't know that he was going to get slammed with cars that day, so I just had to wait because it would be first come, first served. If a business is going to refuse to honor appointments which have been made, then they shouldn't make them in the first place. Just work only on first come, first served like the service center does. I work. I can't miss a day of work because a business doesn't want to honor the appointment made. I tried going on the online chat at their website. I requested contact information including name for a supervisor. I was first told they don't have access to that information. However, after hearing what happened all of a sudden the person could contact someone for me but still refused to divulge the name of a supervisor I could contact. All it would have taken to remediate the incident is a phone call to me to inform me that my appointment wouldn't be honored because they were too busy. Instead I had to drive over there and then hang around for nearly ten minutes until someone was free to tell me that they wouldn't be servicing my car after all. I don't appreciate the crummy service and total lack of consideration I was given. I waited a few days to write this review to see if there would be any response from Findlay regarding my complaint on this incident. I've heard nothing from them at all.
