  • What a pitiful excuse for an airline. My round trip from Phoenix to Washington DC was one heap of misery piled on another. I'm only going to list some of my pet peeves. All the other 1 star ratings are accurate so read them, just in case you think I'm exaggerating. * Fraudulent overbooking. I was getting my boarding pass five minutes after boarding was scheduled to begin. Yes, I was cutting it very close. The staffer told me that the flight had already left. She told me that flights can leave any time between boarding and departure times. Obviously they severely overbooked and took off as soon as the seats filled. This must be a business model for Frontier because on my way back a lady sitting beside me had a similar experience happen out of Florida. * They will not compensate you for overbooking. You have to pay the dreaded $99 to reschedule for another plane. * If they don't have another flight out they have no agreements with other airlines that would allow them to transfer your ticket. I had no choice but to spend another day in DC AT MY EXPENSE. Same thing happened to the lady in Florida. * Disappearing staff. After a flight departs the terminal desks are depopulated of personal. Same at ticketing. Have a problem -- call customer support. * Horrendous customer support. Count on waiting a long time on hold for the privilege of speaking with an outsourced call center in India. I spent two hours on the phone to get somebody that could speak intelligible English. Unfortunately he as a dolt but did eventually book me on a different flight. * Seats that don't recline. You have to pay extra for one that does. * You have to pay extra for window or aisle seats. * $1.99 for a soda
