  • I have lived in Carefree for 7 years and always pass BE's, but I never stopped in. Since relatives are coming for a visit in September, I was seeking out a place for breakfast (too few around this area) so last Friday I dropped in after 7 AM and ordered pancakes and a small espresso shake. Holy Flapjacks, Batman! For $4.95 I got three humongous pancakes, fluffy and delish, and I almost died in pleasure with the shake. I couldn't even finish the pancakes (which were provided with real butter and maple syrup). I went back the next day to check out the hamburgers. I got the mushroom and Swiss (no mayo), fries, and a LARGE espresso shake. The fries rival McD's, and the burger was very good. Both times the service was wonderful, and I always give a 20% tip. I ate on the patio both times. Much hotter during lunch (obviously), but nice ambience except for the LOUD noise of passing traffic. All in all, A place I would definitely take my family to experience something unusual and cool as opposed to restaurants and chains.
