  • Ahhh SkyZone... when will people ever learn that staff members greatly affect a patrons experience?! Now, before I go on a rant about why this place is so lack luster, let me start out by saying that I've been to House of Air in SF (same idea as SkyZone), but it was run in a much more organized (and exciting) fashion. I came here for a friend's bachelorette and we decided to go for an hour-long jump. I was a little shocked to find out that I had to wear very smelly and sweaty shoes around the facility. I've never had to do that before, so I wasn't really too excited about it. I didn't contest the fact that I had to wear these very sweaty, smelly, and unattractive shoes, so I just put them on and started jumping. About 5 mins into my jump bonanza, my feet really started to hurt because if you wear orthotics, you probably shouldn't be wearing these shoes as they are not very feet-friendly. I went up to one of the marshalls and asked him if I could jump shoe-less as I saw other kids jumping shoe-less. While he went on to tell me that the shoes are actually good for you and that they help you "jump better" ??? I went on to tell him that in about 2 mins, I would probably be feeling a world of pain if I didn't take them off. He shrugged me off as if I were crazy and let me take my shoes off. I wasn't the only one from our party that was also feeling pain from the shoes. While we were jumping in the large area, we were repeatedly told to move into a different section every time people came into the area to jump. I don't see the problem in letting people jump where they please as it was never an issue at the place I went to in SF, but again, we did not contest it. Later on, we decided to do some flips into the foam pit. The most unenthusiastic girl was monitoring the foam pit. She stood up against the railing and played with the dead ends in her hair and picked at her nails. At one point, someone from our party could not get out of the foam pit and she just stood there... watching her... laughing to herself... and proceeded to pick at her nails. We asked her if we could help our friend out and she looked at us as if we should've helped her out earlier. I just think if you're going to work at a place where there's tons of kids around, you might want enthusiastic and helpful staff around. Most, if not all, of the marshalls at this place were very unenthusiastic, very unhelpful, and just looked like they hated their lives. I know it might just be a summer job to some people or a side gig, but really? There's kids around. Get up from the railing and help some people out of the foam pit or do something. Anyways, I probably won't be coming back. This place was run in a way that just took away from the whole experience. The trampoline dodge ball was cool though and so was the marshall that was running it.
