  • I've been to several Mexican restaurants throughout Vancouver and Toronto, but La Carnita on John St. is hands down my favourite place to get tacos - especially fish tacos! I've been recommended their sweet corn appetizer every time I dine there but never got them because I thought how good can corn really get? It's amazing. The best sweet corn I'll ever have. I want them everyday. With the In Cod We Trust. It's fairly dark during dinner, but it's always a good crowd with vibrant chats and spotlights. The main level is cozy, kind of feels like an upscale college vibe, and upstairs gives a more lounge like vibe with purple and red lights and high ceilings. I think we're going there for dinner again tomorrow!
