I had bought some materials and a glue gun for a project, but ended up not even needing what I bought. So I came in today to return what I had bought only to be disappointed that they would not refund one of the items. It had not even been 24 hours since I had made my purchase.
One of the cashiers, an older lady, was saying something about making sure the items were not on clearance. I told my cashier that the wooden dowels were not on clearance when I bought them but she still was not certain. Eventually they found out I was not lying to them. However, the glue gun I had bought was on clearance so they did not let me return it. It was not even opened from the package. They told me that all clearance items were final sale. The cashier I had bought it from yesterday did not state that policy nor was there any sticker on the package that said final sale.
This is was a horrible customer service experience and showed me how the Joann's company does not fully care for their customers. I don't understand how it is my fault that I didn't know about a policy that wasn't clearly stated.
Also, there was a long line for purchases and returns. Why not have a separate line for returns only?
