  • Best sushi rolls in Charlotte, no one comes close. I have been coming to Ru San's pretty regularly for about 3 years now and it feels like it's only gotten better. Ru San's vibe is no frills, fast and casual, loud, great sushi. Items from the grill (hibachi chicken, rice, etc...) are also notably good, but Ru San's really shines with their specialty rolls that can get pretty interesting. I've tried several and haven't had a bad one yet. The quality of the fish has never been in question. Just because Ru San's prices are stellar, doesn't mean you suffer on fish quality. Try the nigiri and see for yourself (salmon is amazing). Service is consistently on point, fun, and friendly. The employees share a collective mood of "we're having a good time, are you?". Ru San's Achilles heel could be its extensive menu selection. They don't do everything great, but it's a sushi restaurant that conveniently caters to non-sushi eaters, so I'm ranking it on sushi. 5 stars without a doubt, until they prove me otherwise. GO HERE!
