  • This is my favorite cupcake place in Toronto. I was introduced to this shop almost 5 years ago and I've been hooked ever since. My favorite flavor is the Yonge and Eligible, simple vanilla cake with vanilla butter cream icing. If you want true butter cream that is fluffy and light butter cream, then this is where you should be. The cake itself is moist and has good density so it doesn't crumble. It's not heavy I've had Prairie Girl many times and it doesn't compare. I've found PG cupcakes to be too dense and their version of butter cream similar to sour cream. One drawback is that I remember ordering a cake from Cupcake Shoppe for my university graduation and even though the cake was delicious, the image of a graduation cap was simple a rectangle and a lame tassel haha.
