  • Ever touch something and it is sticky and you don't even want to condition the thought of what it could have been, that is Kia of Bedford. To start, it is important to have 'a guy' for everything I think. You have you computer guy, you tax guy, your car guy, real estate guy etc. I have several car guys and they all told me to avoid Kia of Bedford. These are people you can trust even when you do not trust the dealership they are with in some cases. I didn't listen because apparently schadenfreude to myself. (skip paragraph if you want to hear about the dealership and not the backstory of my life) But this is the interesting story. This is fairly certain but not solid. I had an amazing apartment in downtown at the Bingham. I parked in the lower garage since I had a Hummer H2 that would not fit in the other garage at the building. I exited out near the flats east bank and I am right by the stadium. One day I was going to work and I was exiting the garage and something vulgar was yelled at me as I was exiting, something about having a fancy garage and a dumb car. So I was passed this gentleman but wanted to turn around and have some words. So I did and found him walking up the giant hill by the building and nobody was coming down so I stopped and asked him what the problem was as he was obviously drunk. He was hollering this and that and I said basically he was pathetic and that you need to be careful what you say to someone as it can come back and bite you in the garage depository. I walk into Kia of Bedford to look at a 5-series BMW that they just got but had listed as well as a X-series BMW. I did not have an appointment and I walked into the chaotic dealership and nobody seemed to notice. Then someone yells me over if I need help. The first thing I think is how familiar this guy is. He asked 'why are you here?' and I mentioned the BMW and he had no clue what I was talking about. I tell him it is on the page and that I am interested in another car they have and he says they were both sold but let him verify. They were still available. One was at the shop to get detailed and the other was on the lot. So we walked to the X-series and he jumps into the car and I get into the passenger side even after giving him my ID and stating I wanted to see and drive the X-series. We drive over to the yard and he is aimlessly searching for the car. He eventually sees some workers and screams out the passenger window (mind you - I am the passenger and he screamed out my window) and they locate the car. It was in an accident and was largely dented. I asked if that is being sold as-is and he said not to worry they are going to replace the parts as they detail it (detailed pictures went up a few days later, there they are but they are not shown at all in the pictures at least obviously. I know where to look and it is certainly still jacked). So we go back to the car and he drives again, then moments before turning into the lot, he asked if I wanted to drive. I basically just wanted to leave because I was pretty sure he was the drunk idiot from Cleveland and I said no. We go back and he takes a call, then another and then disappeared for 10 minutes. I don't know where, why, how, etc etc but he was gone. So I was going to leave but he still had my ID. He returns and says he will call me tomorrow. It is 6 days later, nothing. I did the survey for a test drive and you get a gift card and I forgot to show him so I sent him an email. No response, five days later. I then got a call from a manager asking about my time. I call back and leave a message and I got nothing. Call hour later, talked to a secretary and said he was going to call me back in an hour. Nothing. Next day I ring him and he answers and I mention that I was interested in the condition of the car after the accident since no work was done and the gift card. He says that is new car tests only. Funny it came up looking at used cars... But whatever grab a forte I will never buy and I will drive it in a circle and then get the stupid card. The manager, Chris or whatever, sends me to Mike's voicemail even though I said I did not want to work with him anymore. Doesn't answer and his voicemail is not set up. Really, my nephew who got his first cell phone set his voicemail up and he is seven. So I call Chris the manager back and he seems annoyed and says he will have him call me by the end of the day. Did he mean next week because I got nothing. Basically, this place is a dump. Go somewhere else. They lie and I didn't even do numbers with them. The dealership personifies everything bad about a car dealership without getting to the nasty negotiation step, which I am sure would be a doozy of a new high in a terrible time here. He didn't mention an accident until we were looking at a mangled 5-series and I wanted to test drive the X-series walking into the dealership and I wanted tetanus walking out.
