  • Run for the hills as fast as you can. We bought a new home to be built and it was the beginning of a never ending nightmare for us. First and foremost, they had no design center so your options are the lame couple of selections they can fit in a corner kiosk. If you want to find out about a granite etc that's not there, they want charge a fee to get a quote and if you don't go with their quote you loose the fee. Be forewarned the pricing on these options was horrible, almost making it likely you would lose the money after the sticker shock. Other builders have entire facilities with options and they don't charge a dime to tell you the price of the options. During construction we were finding wholesale issues with major options like windows and bath tubs that don't exist, the wrong sliding doors etc. Here the kicker!! When we began pointing out the items they were missing, the Customer Service manager emailed me a piece of our contract that said we can only visit the site 4 times. These seems normal right? If you buy from Beazer, this is who they were for us. It was so bad and so blatant I have a hard time believing this attitude is not inherent within the Beazer culture as a whole. Maybe not but I'm convinced it is. In my mind the fact that this 4 visit document even exists proves my point. The fact that they whipped it out and tried to enforce it is simply unforgivable. After working with a handful of the management team at Beazer Las Vegas It's obvious to me that they have hired incompetent people or this is systemic from the corporate level. I wrote this review to caution the next buyer that this may very well be the same the team you will have to work with if anything goes wrong while your home is being built. We were lucky in the end, we got out whole and bought a Pardee home. You know, they didn't have a document like that in their contract. These of course are all just my opinions and observations at the time they occurred so take them for what they are. Maybe they are better now but I doubt it. If I can sum it up in one thought, there are better builders and options, check them out before getting jammed up like we did.
