rev:text	Pros: Our kids had fun, until one of them was hurt badly enough to need xrays. Cons: -The lighting in Makutu's is truly horrible. It is very, very dark, and there are black lights all over the place. There are warning signs posted, but it is literally so dark in there that I could not read the warning signs. The darkness is also a safety hazard, because kids can't see well inside the climbing structure (part of why my child needed xrays). I noticed from the old Makutu's Yelp profile that it hasn't always been so dark in here - you literally cannot see the leaves on the tree (who knew it's a tree? Sure couldn't SEE that it was a tree when I was there!) -Very loud music is broadcasted in here. So loud that you have to yell for people next to you to hear you. So loud that I couldn't hear my child screaming in pain after he fell 5 feet off a ladder. -The play structure is very poorly designed in some areas. My child should not have been able to fall 5 feet off a ladder. -The cheese pizza in the restaurant is disgusting. -The employee in the restaurant that took my order was constantly picking and rubbing his nose as he rang up my order. Disgusting. -The employee that brought my pizza to my table caused the pizza to slide off the pan and on to the visibly dirty table, then slid the pizza right back on to the pan and walked away without offering to replace the pizza or clean the table. Very gross. -I read in the East Valley Tribune that the new owners spent $500,000 improving the place before it reopened. I don't know WHAT they spent all that money on, because the play structure is obviously old, the carpet is old, the rubbery padding is old, the lighting is truly horrible, the women's restroom could use some updating, and I could go on and on. -When we left, I was carrying a 7 year old child who was in terrible pain. I told the kid who cut off our wristbands that we were leaving because my child was injured, and all he had to say was "sorry, buddy". No offer of an accident report, he didn't ask HOW my child was hurt. Nothing. Luckily the xrays didn't show any fractures, but we were very lucky, because he fell very far.
