  • DO NOT EVER CONSIDER PURCHASING A WARRANTY THROUGH HSA. I can share my phone bill with you as proof. I have never gotten a hold of anyone who works for HSA (and have called 5+ different phone numbers multiple times) in less than half an hour. They are great about charging you the $75 up front for tech visits, but as for replacing/fixing appliances, their lack of response & customer service is atrocious. Anyone who tells you otherwise is a liar. If you care for more proof, here is my story: We had a service technician at our home last Thursday 9/8/16. The service technician provided the necessary information to HSA and stated HSA is responsible for following up. We contacted HSA earlier this week, and again today (note that over 48 hours duration has passed since the tech visit). The Support Agent on 9/13/16 stated the appliance service company would get in contact with us. This never happened. I was on HSA chat earlier today and told to call 1-800-326-6710. After being on hold for exactly 1 hour, the agent on the phone told me they are American Home Shields appliance purchasing and couldn't help me. They told me to call HSA. I went back on chat, and the Support Agent gave me a different number for appliance purchasing department of 1-800-367-1448. After being on the phone 16 minutes, I was informed this was the number for customer service. I was told to call 1-800-326-6710 for help. As you can see, this is the number for AHS, which I had already called. I luckily was still on chat, and was then told to call the HSA appliance purchasing department at 1-800-818-9273 and told they will provide me with different appliance options and next steps. I just got off the phone with them (32 minutes on hold), provided them with the information on my dryer, and was told someone will contact me by the middle of next week. That will be two weeks from when the technician diagnosed the problem. It would've been faster, cheaper, and more time-efficient to just go out and buy a new dryer! By now, I have wasted hours (might I add, working hours) and my billable hours are way more than that to be worth it. That is how they make money and stay in business. By terrible customer service/lack of support, people will get their home/appliance issues fixed on their own. Don't let them make money off of you!!! Do not give them a dime!
