For a little personal background, I was diagnosed with a hearing loss at the age of 4 years old. My loss is a progressive sensorineural loss, which means it is getting progressively worse. Currently my right ear is profoundly deaf and my left ear is severely deaf, almost profound.
I have been going to East Valley Hearing for quite some time. My parents took me there as a child and now I am going regularly on my own to pick up batteries, have exams, and express my concerns with my audiologist.
So far I have had two pairs of hearing aids furnished by East Valley Hearing Center. They helped me transition from analog to digital aids when I was around 12 years old and this past year I bought a very spiffy new pair of aids with Bluetooth capability.
I can't say enough about how wonderful these people are. Every time I go into their office, everyone remembers my name. My audiologist, Dr. Scharber, is wonderful and communicative about everything I bring up. When I bought my aids this year he threw in my Streamer (Bluetooth accessory) free and I am getting 3 years of free batteries from them.
The office is very nice. Appointments are always available and they have some neat accessories for sale, as well as a fascinating timeline of hearing aids on one wall and a display of aids on the other.
