  • I found FFSI on Zillow, and I went with them because it gave me the lowest rate (3.375%) and fee (free) for a 30 yr mortgage (refi). Michael Laffey was my loan officer and he helped me get started. After a week, I googled the company and came across the Yelp reviews. I was hestitant and stopped the refi process. Michael was very responsive & helpful, so I talked to him about the reviews and mentioned that I don't feel comfortable doing business with FFSI. He was very patient and knowledgeable, and explained to me why some people's loan didn't get approved. He answered all my questions and promised to get the process done within 45 days. He did! Now, I'm saving $200 a month on my mortgage. Judy Tsuei was my loan processor. Like Michael, she was very helpful and quick. Many people had a bad experience with FFSI. I was glad I didn't. Besides having a good credit score and low debt ratio, I was prompt with my paper work, letters, and answers.
