| - It was a little below average for me. If the name of your restaurant is biscuits, you better serve some pretty darn good biscuits, and they were not that good.
We chose to sit outside on a beautiful October morning and were seated right away. I had my infant with me, but they had no sling for his carrier (and apparently their high chairs do not convert to accommodate a carrier either). Therefore, my 3 month old had to sit in his carrier on the ground while I ate; I watched him like a hawk because there were ants close by. Not a good start.
My girlfriend had been here before and said the food was delicious (she doesn't have a good track record for recommending restaurants).
I ordered one biscuit and gravy off the a la carte menu. The waiter said it came with 2 sides??? What? It's a la carte; I don't want a whole meal!?! Obliging, I picked links and red potatoes, again the red potatoes were raved about by my friend. I'm going to stop taking her suggestions. My plate came out and 3/4 of it was covered by lukewarm red potatoes. Actually, my whole plate was lukewarm; very disappointing. The biscuit had a weird spongy texture, not a good biscuit. I can make better Bisquick biscuits at home. The gravy was ok, not horrible, but nothing to brag about. And, the potatoes, I just didn't get it. I poked around at them hoping they would magically turn into something that tasted good, but I left them on my plate just as they came.
Would I come back to give them a second chance? Absolutely not. There was not one thing on my plate that was worth the splurge. I make better biscuits and gravy at home. Why would I go out to eat mediocre food?
