| - In the heart of downtown Phoenix in Cityscape lies Stand Up Live. This review has nothing to do with the comedian, Ali Wong, because she was freaken hilarious and if this rating was just based on her as a comedian, this would be five stars. This review is more of the venue itself.
First off, prices weren't bad. With all the fees, I think tickets run less the $30/per person. When you get to the venue, you are seated right away in a group. I came with just my husband and before they sat us, they had two others join us to get seated. The seating arrangements were chaotic! There was no type of organization whatsoever. They tried to have us sit in the back when there were tons of seats closer to the stage. Not only that, there is hardly any room! You are definitely packed in tight!!!
So, there's a 2 drink minimum. Not a 2 item minimum, a 2 drink minimum! So if you don't want alcohol, be ready to be charged over $5 on a nonalcoholic drink. Fiji water was $5.75!
I ordered spinach artichoke dip which was okay, nothing to rave about. When you get your bill, they add I think 15% automatically so don't accidentally add to the tip if you do not intend to especially since service isn't that great.
When the show was over, the same as entering, exiting was annoying! No organization whatsoever and there was only one entrance and one exit!!
Overall though, I had a fabulous time!
