There is no words to describe how beautiful this Desert Botanical Garden is! (End of review)..
JUST KIDDING!
But really! This is a MUST when coming to Arizona! I am not into plants or flowers however this was defin9iotly on my bucket list of things to do when I visited Arizona and I am so happy I did.
I had brought a Groupon deal which was really reasonable so I was able to use it on my trip.
ADMISSION PRICES:
* Adult: $22
* Senior: $20 (60 years and older)
* Student: $12 (13 - 18 and college with ID)
* Child $10 (3 - 12)
* Children under 3 are admitted free.
I didn't plan to stay here for too long however, there is so much to see that I ended up spending 2-3 hours here!
The potential Garden is open daily from 7AM-8PM. I actually went on a day that was SUPER hot so I recommend going during the evening time as you may be able to enjoy it better.
EXHIBITIONS:
Depending on what time of the month you decide to go you may be able to visit the many exhibits that are offered here. There are butterfly exhibits: Saturdays, October 8, 2016 - November 12, 2016 and meet the caterpillars: Saturdays, October 1, 2016 - November 12, 2016.
There are 6 different areas of the garden to visit:
*Garden Overview
*Desert Discovery loop trail
*Plants and people of the Sonoran desert loop trail
*Sonoran Desert Nature loop trail
*Center for desert living trail
*Harriet K Maxwell Desert Wildflower Loop trial
I had a wonderful time looking at all the plants and cactuses! I took some amazing photos that I still need to print and hang up in my house!
They host a lot of events especially during the summer and fall:
* Margarita Cabrera: Space in Between
* Meet the Caterpillars
* Music in the Garden Fall 2016: Traveler
I truly enjoyed the Chihuly Exhibit when I came here. I have seen some of his work from when I went to Seattle so I was happy to see that I would be experiencing some of his work when I came to the Botanical Garden.
VISIT AT NIGHT:
I hear when you visit at night it's even more beautiful as they turn the lights on in the gardens which gives it a different view then in the daylight!
Definitely give yourself about 2.5-3 hours to visit the whole garden and drink lots of water!
