  • I have been to probably two dozen nail salons in New York City, trying to get a decent gel manicure that doesn't start peeling off within a week. And where do I find that great gel manicure? Pittsburgh. Jimmy at Whitehouse was an absolute 100% professional and a perfectionist to say the least. I told him my gel nail drama and he explained to me all of the things that my manicurists in New York had been doing wrong. Gave me an awesome gel manicure. A week in, and it looks like it had been done yesterday. The salon is new, clean, and very open and friendly. Great selection of in-season colours to choose from. And wine, water, coffee, and tea while you wait. It's a shame I don't live in Pittsburgh anymore. I'd be back to see Jimmy every two weeks.
