| - We had already ordered 3 courses, a bottle of wine, and cocktails for each of us, and we were rushed between each course; we wanted to take our time and enjoy our dinner as we haven't seen each other in years. However, our server seemed hell bent on getting us out of there in an hour and was dismayed that we took longer than 10 minutes to decide on our choices (asking 3 times between wine and appetizers delivered). They cleared our apps without asking if we were through, they came over three times to attempt to clear dinner that were clearly not done (seriously 15 min with entree). After we asked for the dessert menu, a friend came in to the restaurant and wanted to join us for a drink. We were told that they could not accommodate 5 of us and that we needed to pay our check. I would've understood this policy had it been explained in any way, but she just said "I'm sorry, you can't order dessert, I'm just going to leave your check." As a server in the fine dining industry for 15 years I was embarrassed and appalled. We were literally being kicked out. The management seemed highly defensive, and immediately sent us to the owner. We then attempted to explain to the owner why we felt we're were treated so poorly. He had no patience for it-- definitely sided with kicking us out before he had heard us out. The food was really good. I'll give them that, but we were all left with the feeling that the establishment wasn't very accommodating or welcoming to their guests, and it really soured the experience. Won't return, nor recommend friends. I'd like to add one friend flew in from San Fran and another drove in from D.C. and the 5th friend was originally working late & coming out after Cure but ended up showing up early as last cocktails and dessert were being ordered.
